The tree is up!

Yes! It's finally the Christmas season!! Christmas is absoulutely my favorite holiday! I just love everything about it! So, naturally, I'm one of the people that starts decorating Thanksgiving weekend. I already have a tree up with lights and everything. It's a really small, fake tree though. My current living situation will not allow the normal height of a tree. But all the same, it's a tree!!!

That's all for now.

Concert!!

Hello again!!

Okay. That Kelly Clarkson concert was the best in the world! I loved it!! I didn't recognize the name of the guy who opened for her, but he was good also. (He had some wicked good skills on the piano) Unfortunately, the pictures I said I would put up will not be available. They didn't really turn out..so I don't think I should put them up.

So, we got to the concert after struggling to find a parking place and found out that they weren't letting anybody in until 7:00. We had a half hour to kill, so we admired the theater we were in. Thankfully, they let us in early! So we sat in the crowded theater seats (which were comfortable) and waited for another half hour for the concert to start. At exactly 7:30 the lights dimmed and the music started!! Yay! Like I said, we had never heard of the person who opened for her, but he was good. We ended up buying his cd. After he ended his last song, the lights came back on and we waited while they set everything up for Kelly. Oh my goodness, her opening was amazing! If you have seen the front of the cover, she had those same stairs on the stage and was sitting on them. Her band-mates were all posed in various positions on the stage. And then strobe lights went off (I'm not very fond of them, but I was fine with it this time) and the music started. The cheering from the crowd was so loud! Although, I must say, I was contributing to the noise. I was happy that she sang songs from her two most recent cd's: Breakaway and My December.

After the concert was over, my feet were tired from standing for two hours straight, and my throat was aching from cheering and singing so much. But it was completely worth it. ^^ If you ever have a chance to go to her concert, go. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself! I know I did!

Peace

Music music and more music

You guessed it, this post is about music. ^^ I could talk about music (and books) forever. So, I just found this new song called Near To You by A Fine Frenzy. It's such a good song!! If you haven't heard it, I suggest you go listen to it. So, in most songs, I can find a relation to one of the books in the Twilight series (That's what happens when you are as big of a fan as I am) and this one strongly reminds me of New Moon.

More newly-discovered completely-and-totally-awesome songs: Love Like Winter by AFI, Your Guardian Angel by The Red Jumpsuit Aparatus, Breath by Breaking Benjamin, Here In Your Arms by Hellogoodbye.

So, since I'm talking about music, I might as well say this. I'm totally excited because tomorrow I get to go to a Kelly Clarkson concert!! Yay!! *jumps up and down* I love her music! Her song, Haunted, reminds me of New Moon. (I told you any song reminds me of one of the books. ^^) So, I'll try and get some good pics to put on this blog. Have a good week everyone!! Peace.

Artist?

Yeah. So, there is a little thing of sketches I did. I don't know how clear that shows up, but *shrugs* I tried to show you, against my better judgement. I don't think I'm too good with art, although I am fond of these drawings. Anyway, if they aren't art, at least you can get a good laugh out of looking at them. ^^ Peace.

Twilight series

Okay, if you haven't read this series, you are missing out on a lot. This series is written by Stephenie Meyer. (Stephenie is a really amazing author!) There are currently three books in the series, but she's working on a fourth. The series starts with Twilight. The second book is New Moon and the third is Eclipse. They are amazing books. They tell the story of a vampire named Edward Cullen and a human named Isabella (Bella) Swan. I can't really say too much about the series though, because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Anyways, the series is, like I said before, absolutely amazing. I was sucked in after the first chapter. Each of the books has an amazing (I like that word. ^^) plot and makes the book impossible to put down. So, I suggest you go to the nearest book store (or a library if you're out of money.) and get it. You won't be disappointed. (Or maybe you will. I don't want to lie. It could go either way.)

Yeah, so I just thought that I would share that little bit of info with you. ^^ Like you really care though. Oh well. So, that's all I wanted to say at the moment. Sorry for the lack of posts.

Music

Besides writing, there are two things I enjoy doing just as much. One of these things is listening to music. (The other is reading) Listening to music is way easier than writing..so I tend to do this activity more. And, it distracts me just as much as writing does. I've taken to carrying around a piece of paper with me, and every time someone recommends a song or I get in to a discussion about music, I write down band names and songs. Then, I'll go on to project playlist (an awesome site for music) and listen to all the songs. Already, my piece of paper is filling up. And now, you get to hear about some of my favorite songs/bands. ^^

Favorite bands: Jimmy Eat World. Collective Soul (thanks to stephenie meyer for putting them on the playlist. I would have never heard of them if you didn't do that!) Linkin Park. Muse. Evanscence. And that's only to name a few. ^^

Some of my favorite songs: December by Collective Soul. Vampire Heart by HIM. A Place For My Head by Linkin Park. I Miss You by Blink 182. Sweetness by Jimmy Eat World. Why Does It Always Rain On Me by Travis.

Alright..so that's it for this post...feel free to leave comments about your favorite bands/songs!! Bye!

Ugh

I knew it! I can hardly keep a blog! Ugh. This annoys me. *sigh* I will try yet again though. So, now I suppose I should write something. After all, I am trying to keep a blog here. I suppose I shall write about writing. ^^

If you know me, you most likely know that I write. (I say most likely because I have met a lot of people, and sometimes there is no way they could know that about me) So, if you know me well, you know that I love to write. I'll write anything. (Except for blogs apparently) Whether it's role playing, or my current book. I love to write. (I wonder how many times I can say that in one post....)

Yes, it is true. I am working on a book. It's hardly moving, but it will get finished. My life has been a bit crazy lately, and it seems I hardly have time to write. But, I'll fit it in somehow!

And with that, this post comes to a close.

Shopping

Well, it's not one of my favorite topics, but I guess it's something about me, so I might as well tell it. I've been dragged around to countless stores by my sister. It can be fun, but it can also be the most boring experience in the world. It's not that I don't like shopping, I mean, I am a , but it depends on what we are shopping for. If it was books, I would shop all day. Clothes on the other hand, not so much. Of course, it is essential that I shop for clothes myself; I'm way past the 'mom picks out clothes for you' stage of life. Not that moms aren't great, but, well, you know what I mean. (And if you don't, well, I'm really very sorry then.) Okay, I got a little carried away; time to refocus. I don't mind shopping, but I definitely have limits. I will not tolerate going to every single clothes store in the mall even though I'm flat broke. I will, however, tolerate going to every single book store in the mall even though I'm flat broke. (If you can't tell, I love books)
Another thing I love to shop for is Cd's. I don't have a huge collection, but I'm working on it. And, movies. My movie collection is also slowly getting larger. Of course, I don't have endless money, so I can't always afford the newest Gilmore s season and jeans. (Again with the essentials)
So, by now, you're probably wondering why I even bother tell you this. Even if that wasn't a question that managed to wander into your mind, I'll answer it. Me and my family go shopping a lot. So, it seemed like it needed to be explained. I do tend to say useless things often though. Who knows? Maybe this info will be important someday.
Well, that's all for now folks!!

Welcome to my world!

Well, this is my second attempt at a blog. The first failed miserably. Of course, there's a possibility that it only ended up that way because I was describing the world through my pet's eyes. She really had nothing interesting to tell. Yes, I know, it's strange when people do things like that, but I just had to give it a try. But this blog isn't about my dog, although you may hear her mentioned every once in a while.
My life hasn't been going on for very long, but it has been everything but boring. When I was little, my sister was diagnosed with leukemia and has been fighting since then. It's been an amazing experience for my whole family. It changed our lives so much. Of course, I've known nothing but having that in my life. I don't know if everyone realizes that it affects the family as much as it does the patient. Of course the patient has to deal with getting stuck with needles and undergoing surgeries, but we all struggle. It's so hard to see someone you love so much be hurt. But let's not think about the negatives. It's definitely brought my family closer. (These are all positives..) And I now have had the opportunity to meet many different people, something I will never forget.
My whole family is different. My father is very much a people-person. He is very comfortable around new people. My mother is very thoughtful. She's the person that you go talk to when you have a problem. (Most of the time anyway) My oldest sister, (There are four of us) is now happily married and has children. My second-0ldest sister is the one with leukemia. She is an inspiration to us all. My next sister is one of my best friends. Although she does get on my nerves and we fight often, we still love each other. I often go to her with my troubles and she'll help me figure them out. She's also a very talented song-writer, although nothing has been published yet.
Now, I guess I must explain myself. I'm the youngest in my family, and it has it's perks. Unfortunately, I can't come up with any at the moment. It also has it's disadvantages. Two of my sisters are extremely close and I've gotten left out of conversations a fair share of times. But, again, I don't like the negative thinking. So, I'll move on to my hobbies. My biggest hobby is writing. Unlike my sister, I write stories. I'm currently working on one, and I hope that someday it will be published. But I have my doubts that it's even good enough to be glanced at. I also like, no, that's an understatement, love to read. I'm currently reading Eclipse, the third book in the Twilight series. If any of you have ever read any of those books, you can understand my need to endlessly talk about or read these books. They are the point of most of my conversations. I'm not sure if my family appreciates my random facts, such as Edward drives a silver Volvo or that Bella's boyfriend is a Vampire and one of her best friends is a Werewolf. Although, they are going to have to get used to it seeing as my thoughts are now almost always in Forks, Washington with Bella and Edward.
Well, I don't think there's much else you need to know about me. At least, not in this post. Of course there will be more, I'll try to update it weekly. Though forgive me if I fall behind.
